Lets Go Clean The Beach

Taking steps to protect Beach

Lets Clean Our Beaches

Let’s Go Clean The Beach/Recycling Project PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL 2023 In Ghana beaches in some coastal areas are only clean when such places have hotel facilities which are being manned by private entities.
his is because such private owned hotels employ the services of people to make sure that their beach sites are clean for their guests— since many of the foreign guests tend to sunbath at the beaches. It stands to reason that when such beaches lack facilities such as hotels; their sites are enough to drive people away. Plastic pollution is a threat to the beach business. Ghana is left with a financial burden of $290 million annually due to waste mismanagement. Efforts must be made toward building designated sanitation points on our beaches. Another hugely significant issue is the phenomenon of plastic waste in the sea and littered along the beautiful beaches

Potential of Coastal Regions

The potential of our coastal regions in terms of tourists’ attraction cannot be overemphasized.
For a start our beach sites are going to be properly taken care of which, of course, means that we are going to have many foreign tourists coming into the country and visiting our beaches. We can make a big impact if we come together to clean our beaches regularly and having designated Bins for use by both domestic and foreign tourists.

Hence the campaign Lets Clean Our Beaches

  • Clean Our Beaches is a campaign designed to curb the danger posed by plastic waste to the ocean using Volunteers, entertainers and community leaders to demand and effect change.
  • The effort is designed to improve upon waste collection and waste management activities along the shores of the selected areas.

Our Objective

The primary objective of the campaign is to ensure that beaches in Ghana are always kept clean and safe Aimed at keeping beaches clean while raising awareness about the negative effects of pollution on our environment.
To educate local communities on appropriate waste disposal as well as reduce their environmental impact To rally all well-meaning Ghanaians to this beach cleaning exercise The effort is designed to improve upon waste collection and waste management activities along the shores of the selected areas,
